16m ds - redness around BCG jab

DS has been under the weather the last day or so (high temp, vomiting a little, teething) and this evening in the bath I noticed that the area around his BCG jab is quite red - probably about a 2" circle diameter.

Any thoughts why this could be?

DDs both had quite a sore are around the jab, but 2" diameter does sound big, maybe just get the GP to have a scan. tbh, I really can;t remember how big the sore bit was. Good luck

Well it's weird because he is 16 months and had his BCG on the day he was born. It had totally healed by 4 months and has never looked red since then until today.

That's funny, mine didn't get bcg until they were a year old. How come he had it when he was born? Didin't know they did that. Very odd it's flared up now though.

It is standard practice at the hospital he was born I think.
