Welts on 18m old dd...

.. what might they be?

Every time she knocks herself or even rubs her skin against something it comes up in a welt - a red surrounding patch with a paler raised middle.

Thought at first they were flea bites as they looked like them and we were staying with relatives with a cat but they have spread and are too big and related to knocks.

Not itchy and not urticaria - it doesn't look as angry or as red.

She's been getting them for about 2 - 3 days. And they only last about 20 mins to an hour then fade. Then new ones pop up wherever she's been playing.

Could she just have extra sensitive skin with teething (never happened before mind...)? She's also got rank diarrhoea - but assume that is teething.

It is something i have had since having my dd. Mine get really itchy though. Do you know that she's not itchy? My dd does have slight ezcma and when she is really teething it is a lot worse. Our dr's practice are really good if you have any little worries and let you speak to a nurse over the phone, could you perhaps do that and they might put your mind at rest or ask you to bring her in.

she's not scratching so I assume she's not itching. but she is very whiney which is not like her. and also teething.

my gp practice is rubbish - I'd have to sit there for an hour or so. I'm going to see if they go over the next few days as they're not bothering her and if not take her to the dr.

thanks!
