Cradle Cap

Help please!! My 8 month old son has really resistant cradle cap. I initially cleared it with Burts Bees apricot oil after unsuccessful use of dentinox and olive oil. It returned and since then it will just not go with the oil and gentle shampoo regime, infact the front of his scalp looks like a burn - red and angry. He scratches his head and it is bothering him now.

it might be infected so take him to the gp as he may need something stronger to use on it

IMO red and angry isn't cradle cap. It's some sort of dermatitis (seborroeic?) and you need to see the doc to see if he needs a prescription

yes that doesn't sound like cradle cap, it sounds like a reaction to something, and could be infected. Get him a GP appointment asap.

oops - actually the same thing but what I meant is that if it's got to the red and angry stage then a visit to the doc may be best.
