DS has been called for his boosters, but he is only 3.4yo. Have they made a mistake or do they do them this early?

I will call them to ask on Monday, but I didn't think they did them until they were just about to start school.

Anyone know?

No that's the normal schedule.

Have a look here

mine too, 3.4...my HV called me to explain last week and says its something to do with the way the computer is generating the calls now. Not sure I understood properly and had a baby yelling in my other ear.

I can take him for the booster now or wait until the next call for injections (Diptheria is the next one I think) and get them all done at once.

Thanks for that link Sidge. They must have changed it because his red book says age 4-5.

He has an egg allgery and we had to go the the palaver of waiting for hours in the hospital while they did his MMR. I was more than happy for them to do it in the surgery, but no, the doc wouldn't do it. Wonder if I will have to do that again...

Thanks for all your replies

They've been doing them at 3.4 for years, since about 2001 I think. But the red/blue/green books are rarely updated!

Bookswapper - all the vaccines are done at 3.4 now (have a look at my link from my post of 2316). If you don't go for these, the next lot aren't due until they are 14! (but of course you can have the pre-school boosters done at any age, it's just optimal to have them done 3 years after the primary (baby) course.)
