She had a funny turn earliar and went a bit funny and coughing a lot I overreacted worried and took her to the childrens .

I explained that she has had an on/off cold for three weeks and a nighttime cough aswell as mild asthma the doctor was lovely and spoke to dd for ages and took a lot of time with her dd also mentioned that she has had a falling out at school this week with classmates and is worried (she is only 7 !) so the doctor told her the best thing to do was stay under a duvet ,drink hot chocolate and watch a DVD with her Mum as long as I didn't mind and she promised to go back to school Friday.

She did also say dd was probbaly a bit run down and had a viral infection and that she needed some TLC .

What a lovely doctor!

Sounds like a fab doctor - our old GP used to prescribe TLC as well.

Enjoy your duvet day.

Hulababy · 11/02/2009 21:50

Hope she feels a bit better soon.

Lovely doctor.

What a refreshingly sensible doctor!

Sounds like the prescription for most ills, to me, I hope you have a memorable, recuperative, happy day, both of you.

BananaFruitBat · 11/02/2009 21:50

That's not fair.

I want a prescribed Duvet Day.

Hope she feels better for it though.

Do you think once you get prescribed one you can get repeats ?

ComeWhineWithMe · 11/02/2009 21:55

Well she came home and fell fast asleep ,my sister who came with me was amazed at how nice she was she thought we were going to get a few faces for overreacting .

Who's your GP, and can I come register with her?? Pleeeeeeease?

TheCrackFox · 11/02/2009 22:06

The country needs more doctors like that.

ComeWhineWithMe · 11/02/2009 22:09

I know usually they are rushing around and stressed and must see hundreds of children with minor ailments but she took the time to make dd feel special and listened to .

Poledra if only she was my GP I think I just struck lucky .
