He has mentioned it a couple of times now and I am beinning to get a bit twitchy about it . I have just rung the drs but they are closed for training today and I can't stop thinking about it .

So do you think he should be able to feel it ? The first couple of times he said it he had been running around so I tried to stay calm and just think it was because he had been active . But yesterday he said it again when he was eating his breakfast .

Any advice please ?

Nobody ? Sorry I have started to worry , hopefully pointlessly but it would be good if someone else had a child that had felt this

I feel my heart all the time when I've been running around, or if I've had a shock like someone shouting BOO!!. Try it yourself, get your trainers on and dash around the garden playingt ag or something until you are breathless and hot (a normal feeling when exercising). You will feel your heart thudding against your chest. Absolutely normal. However, if it eases your mind book him in with the GP so they can listen to his heart or hook him up to an ECG monitor for 5 minutes.

Sorry, just read about the breakfast thing. Still coudl be normal, I can feel mine now at my desk- I just had to concentrate on it for a while. Maybe its like breathing, if you think about it, you become hyper aware?

Thanks Forrester , I am feeling a wee bit calmer today about it . I have felt mine a lot when excersising but I was just surprised at a five yr old and when he said he could feel it while just sitting I was a bit worried .

His dad gets palpatations so thats probably why I am so worried and I have asked friends with dcs of a similar age and they haven't had the same so I was putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 .
