My 19 months old toddler keeps putting his fingers in door hinges at every opportunity. This makes me very very anxious and when I think about what could have happened each time I feel dizzy and my legs go weak. We have those b..dy fire doors so they slam if we don't use slam protectors which are not protecting from the hinge accidents.
This evening we were playing hide and seek and he did the same thing when he hid behind the door. Then I get very angry. I held him and asked him to look at my face with a angry tone first told him that I was very very angry and then told him to never ever do that again.
Guess what, I felt guilty afterwards. Do you think I shouldn't have done that?
Also, do you have any advise re safety equipmen ts for door hinges.

Thanks Furball, Just after I wrote this message I ordered the same thing, got it today and will fix it during the weekend. I hope it works. I bought only one to try, but I don't know how I can afford them for 6 beds house with seperate dining room!

I got one of these and it keeps the door in one position which helps.

Thanks Timeisablindguide, at least for some doors I can use that one. Good idea.
I do hate fire doors, I don't understand what is the point of having them. Everybody I know use doorstoppers at workplaces and homes.
