DD who is 9 months has had D&V since 6am Sunday morning. She can't keep anything down but wants to keep drinking.

Spoke to NHS direct who said to keep offering fluids and see how she was but if started getting lethargic/no wet nappies then to take her to GP. The nurse also said to give her normal strength milk - she is FF

I ended up taking her to GP last night as she was getting worse but of course as soon as she got to surgery she perked up. GP told me to give her half strength milk only as it can perpetuate the diarrohea and also prescribed Diarolyte.

Question is who do I believe? Worried that I am making it worse but getting conflicting advice.

I would go with what the GP said. You could always call him and tell him you've had this conflicting advice.

Go with the GP. Watered down milk but mostly lots of diarolyte and water until the bug is out of her system.
The milk will be prolonging it a bit.
Hope she feels better soon x

Thanks for the advice - not thinking straight due to lack of sleep!
