There is a product recall on Aquafresh Milk Teeth 0-3 years.

This is what GlaxoSmithKline have to say...

"GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) is taking the precautionary measure of recalling a single batch of its Aquafresh Milk Teeth toothpaste (0-3 years) Batch BN 388G. No other Aquafresh children?s or adult toothpastes are affected.

This follows GSK?s discovery that a small number of tubes in this batch contain varying amounts of a different toothpaste formulation. This formulation has a strong flavour and is a red/mauve colour unlike Aquafresh Milk Teeth toothpaste which is white in colour.

The small number of affected tubes of toothpaste may pose a low risk because the formulation contains herbal ingredients (namely Echinacea, Chamomile, and Myrrh) and the ingredient Linalool, which could cause an allergic reaction in a very small proportion of children."

My DD's toothpaste is from this batch, will be ringing the recall line first thing in the morning.

thanks for posting that beckle - was told by my dentist today that I have to start brushing DS's teeth so will avoid that brand.

Bumping this

It's only one batch affected TumbLoveWitch so doubt there will be any of the contaminated tubes on the shelves, you can always check the batch number before buying if you wanted that brand.

Stories like this do make you a little distrustful though don't they?

Thumb - you don't need to avoid this brand, it is just one batch being recalled.

Thanks for that beckle, I have a tube with that batch number so going to call the helpline now. The toothpaste looks ok, it's white but I won't take the chance, not if I can get a new tube...

Well I have called them and they are sending a prepaid envelope for me to return the toothpaste and some vouchers to reimburse me.

Me too, but I'm going to have to go and buy a new tube this afternoon anyway as ds needs to brush his teeth before bed tonight.

Thanks for this beckle. I just bought a new tube for ds this morning, checked and ours is BN 388F so fine, but pleased I checked.

This was last week so there should be new tubes in the shops now.
