Green spot on 7 week old's head - would appreciate help

Hi. My DS has a greeny coloured lump on the top of his head. It looks like a spot that's drying out, and is a bit red around the edges but not really angry. I've only just noticed it, though it is quite big.

I don't really know what to do for the best as I have DD poorly in bed upstairs (nothing related) so I can't really take him to get seen, unless anyone thinks it is urgent?

If anyone has any suggestions about what it could be and what action I should take, I'd really appreciate it.

Is this any help?

Thanks for that DesperateHousewifeToo . It's quite crusty-looking, maybe like a nasty zit?

Doesn't sound like the spot in the link then.

If it's only one spot, maybe that is all it is.

If lots of crusty spots, maybe chicken pox? Although that would not be green, more red.

Sorry, not much help

I appreciate your reply. It looks pretty grim! Doesn't seem to be bothering him though.

my baby had some sort of pus filled spots on his head in the first week of his life, then I realised that it was meconium that was still on his head, I washed it off and they went away.
