Hi,

My dd has just had her pre school boosters. She was soooo brave having them today, she even watched one of them, bless.

That was at 2.30ish. Over the hours her right arm (shes left handed) has started to hurt more and more and now she just constantly 'it hurts' 'ouch' and whining. Is this normal??

She had Calprophen (sorry about spelling) at 1.45pm then Calpol at 5.30pm.

I have even put a sling on her arm as she cant/wont move her arm.

Shes normaly a tough girl, things dont hurt her easily.

Thank you for any advise

My DD reently had her pre-school boosters recently and I was advised that her arm could be pretty sore and that she might have trouble sleeping on that side. Calpol would help.
DD had a bump on her arm and it was a bit sore, but not as bad as your DD's appears to be.
I think you have done the right thing, just review in the morning and see how her arm is. It might well be feeling a bit better.

Thanks for that. Just taking her up to bed now (late i know but a neighbour popped in as i was taking her up) will check her arm.

Am i being silly keeping it in a sling?
Would i be mean if i sent her to playschool tomorrow if it still hurts? What about sending her into playschool with the sling on?

If she need to stay home then thats fine but she's been off all week due to snow and really wanted her to go back tomorrow, she's missing her friends bless her.

I wouldn't have tought the playschool would be too happy about the sling.
With Dd I just mentioned it to the staff. i just worried that if there was a tousle over a toy, or if she got knocked on the arm accidently then she would react out of character and either cry or hit back. At least if this happened the staff would know what had happened. She was fine in the end.

Oh she was in tears getting changed for bed.

Im not going to say anything to her in the morning about her arm, just act normal and see how she is. I hope its better. If she's bad again in the morning then i guess its another day off.
Oh she was so good having them done as well

Thanks :-D
