I wa sin the bath with my 5 year old dd last night and noticed that she has one nipple quite a bit higher than the other one .The one higher up also looks a lot smaller than the other one .

Does anyone have any exp of this I am going to mention it to GP but thought I would just do a post on here in case anyone knows anything.

I am a little worried for what it means when she hits puberty if it stays the way it is they are going to be very lopsided .

Has it always been like this as far as you remember, or do you feel it is something new? Is her back alright? In a slightly older child (10+) I'd be questioning whether there's something mechanical happening with her growth, but probably not in someone so young. Chances are it's just a part of her and may even up as she grows. If you are worried do mention it to your GP - at least it's logged then.

Good luck and try not to worry.

Have they always been slightly different? If not I would probably just see your GP to check her over.

I know that different sized breasts/nipples are fairly common, and often sort themselves out in time. One friend of mine developed to a C cup on one side but nothing on the other. She was offered surgery for when she finished developing but by the time she was 17 they had evened out.

Thanks. I have never noticed it before and we bathe together a lot however she does have a tiny third nipple which was picked up on when she was born nothing to worry about the doctor said it dosen't even look like a nipple just a little black dint .

I am going to make an appt with GP ,her back is fine afaik I think she may be having a growth spurt but it is quite a bit higher up so that is whats concerning me .
