puffy face in 3 yr old

my ds1 has had a cold for the past few days but has woken up today with a puffy face. It started just slightly puffy cheeks but when he woke up from a nap his nose and forehead were a bit swollen aswell. is it sinuses? or something else? anyone got any advice?

Any other symptoms? Is there any swelling anywhere else?
Is he passing water OK? Puffiness can be a sign of kidney problems-I would ring NHS direct for advice if I were you.

thanks for your quick response, he is weeing fine and seems ok in himself although is tired and cranky bless him. He's not complainuing of any pain today although his throat was hurting yesterday and the day before.
