Problems after diarrhea?

We have just been to India with ds(2). When we took him when he was 1 there were no prblems but this time he got a bad case of diarrhea (sp?) and a viral infection all at once.

Now we are back and things are back to normal on the poo front (sorry!), he is still waking up at night and saying sore tummy and quite often doing a poo. Does it just take a while to get over this (happened about three weeks ago), or is it something I should get checked out?

Not sure, but bumping for you....I would get it checked out, in case the bad case of diarrhoea was a form of food poisoning that sometimes needs ABs to fully clear up (dh had campylobacter, dragged on and he needed ABs in the end).

Though I think it can take a while to recover, so wouldn't worry unduly - just check out
