DS had adenoids and grommets done on Tuesday.

He has been wobbly on his feet, but otherwise fine.
Overnight he has developed a fever, and cough( he has asthma).

Then in rushing to get him out of my bed this morning as he needed the toilet I really banged his head on the ceiling( I have a loft room) I was expecting loads of blood and bumps, but nothing.

Anyway he is now lying on my lap flushed cheeks, temp not dropping despite calpol.

Is this normal post op, or have I given him concussion from the bang on the head?

I don't think he'd have a raised temperature from a bump on the head? I'd ring GP though to be sure!

I wouldn't worry too much about the bump, but if he has a post op temp that won't come down he could have an infection, ring gp straight away.

Hope he feels better soon btw

thanks, it is hard as people always say have you been alternate dosing with nurofen and calpol, I have to remind them that DS is not allowed nurofen due to his asthma - they even issued it as a post op drug despite being fully aware of his medical conditions
