Hi , I have also posted this under another topic.

I have an ongoing problem with my dd whos nearly 5. She goes for a wee, then wipes herself, doesnt even get to the door before saying it is still coming out, I have checked and it isnt - it is dry. But she feels it is and she will be in the toilet for about 10 minutes, crying and wiping herself. Its really starting to affect her, as she wont do a wee at school which Im sure doesnt help.

The doctor just gives her antibiotics for a uti, but its not hleping. I would be so grateful for any info anyone has please - its horrible to see her so distressed.

Thank you

I think you need to ring your school nurse (they are employed by the primary care trusts and cover a number of schools within an area) and ask for some advice perhaps they could see your daughter in school to have a chat to her about the problem or offer an appointment to you both to discuss it.

alternatively ask for a referral to a paediatrician and/or a childrens specilaist nephrology nurse.

think school nurse would be a goof route and letting your daughter she the nurse on her own may be helpful as she will feel grown up and listened to and hopefully tell the nurse if she has any problems or worries that potentially are causing this problem
