DS is 10 months and so far, has had pretty much every lurgy going round (and we're both recovering from a nasty cold this week) and I just found a lovely crop of red spots all over his tummy and back and upper arms. I can't tell if he was feeling off-colour for the last 24 hours because of the cold (well yes, he was off-colour but might not have been from the chickenpox, IYSWIM).
What's the drill? Can we use calomine lotion (I remember this from having it as a child, but for all I know it's viewed as carcinogenic or something these days! ) or anything else? He's not bothered by the spots as yet, but has only had them from some time this afternoon. What else should we expect? When can we go back out into polite company without giving them his nasties? (TBH, aside from not wanting him to be ill and suffer, I'm dreading this seclusion because I'll go mad!)
Yes, I could always go to the NHS Direct site but MN is a lot more helpful!
