something else to worry about..

Have been having a rotten week with both kids ill with one thing or another. Now am starting to worry about my daughter's nose-it has been running and running (one nostril mostly) for days and days but then the nose got pink inside and the snot (tmi) is all blood stained and her nostril is continually being blocked up with the stuff. I keep wiping it away from where it has smeared on her face but she won't let me too close to the nose itself as it is hurting her.

Now-I thought it was just getting pink and sore from being 'wet' and wiped all the time-but do you think this could be IMPETIGO????

Impetigo makes the inside of the nose kind of crusty - like yellow, crusty honey (sorry, bleugh!). Prob just been poking around in there too much and cut the inside of her nose. it might be slightly infected, tho. Maybe the chemist could recommend some cream to clear it up. Hope everyone is feeling better soon. Its tough when the DCs get ill at the same time.

Thanks Rose, it's definitely been a trying week.

I can't tell if it is honey like or snot like but have an appointment with doc for my son for Monday-will try to squeeze her in with him then.
