6 month old constipated-fully breastfeed

hey guys need sum advice, leah is constipated, hasnt done a poo for a few days, but doin reali bad farts, i havent started weanin her yet...wat can i do?

she was cryin alot in the middle of the night

Oh, poor wee mite. There are a few things you can do - are you giving her water as well as BM? My DD would never take it. Could try some warm water maybe with some gripe water added. Warm baths are also good for constipation. Massage is also really good too, but you have to do it the right way. If you lay baby down on the bed (if she wont wriggle away) when she is nice and relaxed after her bath, use some olive oil as a lubricant and gently massage her tummy - the way to do it is to follow the bowel and to do this you massage in a clockwise motion in a sort of horse shoe shape - starting at the bottom left hand side and working slowly round - this is very relaxing for babies and can stimulate the bowel. Don't be too concerned if she starts to cry during or after, often massage can just help the baby to release emotions and they often have a little cry - mine used to fall asleep - amazing

If you are worried, of course, go to the doctors or have a word with your HV.
