Toothpaste accidently in the eye

Arrgh, ds grabbed for something and accidently put a toothbrush children's toothpaste in his eye.

Poor thing, we washed it, he cried then feel asleep -he is 3. Rang my father (doctor) who said it would be fine, but he says that about everything and still feel a bit worried.

Anyone else had this happen, did you do anything apart from wash it?

Thanks

It will be OK. There's no acid or anything that will cause any problems in toothpaste. It's the mint that will make it sting so it should be fine if it's all been washed out. Poor thing .
