I wasn't there so don't know for sure but heard some gulping out on the landing, then i went out there, her eyes were red and she had coins in her hand, she also had the smug look she gets if she has managed to get a coin in her mouth, but I could find nothing in there. I thought, 'oh it'll come out in her poo' but today I have been wondering if I have been too laid back?? Might there be anything I should have checked??

TIA

Ds did this when little.

Phoned nhs direct at the time to see if I should do anything. They said that as long as he was not allergic to any metals in the coin he should be ok.

Had to keep an eye on him in the loo every time he had a poo to make sure it to came out.

Took quite a few days to reappear though.

Oh good! I just started thinking then that it wouldn't be very comfortable if it had been 2 pence, but I think the exit from the stomach to the colon is the smallest hole if I remember correctly, so if it gets through there then it can get out the end.

We didn't know what he had swallowed - thought it a 2p. Luckily, turned out to be a 1p coin
