Not sure i'm posting in the right area. I mean the twin block braces for straightening teeth.

Just seen this. My dd has one- she has been fine with it.
first she had train tracks and one block. They change the treatmentas each thing has done its job.
Lately she's been a bit bad about having it in all the time- she takes it out to eat- the dentist said she should keep it in but it doesn't seem to have made a difference, as he said everything's "perfect".
So many of her friends have them. it's very common.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry haven't been able to get on a computer for the last few days. The bottom block is pushing her chin forward. I know this is what it is meant to do, but I mean really forward. She only went for a 8mm overbite and the apparatus she has been fitted with seems a bit much for what is basically a minor problem. Her jaw looks really big and it has changed the whole shape of her face, and not for the better. Do you know if it is meant to do this. She keeps threatening to stop wearing it and quite frankly I'm finding it hard to encourage her as it really does make her face look odd, not the equipment itself, but the position it has forced her jaw into.
