How do I know if a gunky eye is contagious?

DS 2.9 has had a bloodshot eye with a bit of green gunk in it since yesterday morning. Is it worth taking him to gp tomorrow? I'm guessing he shouldn't go to nursery?

Poo. I was hoping because it was just one eye it couldn't be conjunctivitis. Yes am bathing it - it doesn't seem to be bothering him.

Bathe it regularly with warm water with a tiny bit of salt in it, and assume it's incredibly contagious unless the gp says different.

Do you know if bm that's been frozen still works for conjunctivitis?

get antibiotic eye drops, it is bacterial conjunctivitis if it is green, eye drops (fucithalmic, i think) sting like mad but clears it up.
