Colour Variation in a mole

My ds age 3 has a mole on his neck that has very recently started to change in colour and it now has a dark 'spot' in the centre.
I feel like shit as i thought best to just keep a watch on it and for some crazy reason i just thought to 'google' it and am now worried sick, very sick and feel like such a bad mummy.
I think i should take him to get checked out asap.
Not sure why i am posting but just feel v. bad i haven't got it checked out sooner.

don't feel bad - it's good that you kept a watch on it and are going to do something about it! Chances are it's nothing to worry about - has he knocked it or scratched it?
either way you are being a good mum to get it seen to.
