Salbutamol has never affected me (or DS when had a bout of croup) but a high temperature can definitely affect your DC.

Once DS woke up (when he was quite young, about 2.5 - 3 I seem to recall) with a soaring temperature. He was clapping his hands, staring wildly into space, sort of screaming and shouting all at the same time. He was absolutely soaking wet... I undressed him, wiped him down with a damp cloth (dampened with tepid water NOT cold) and talked quietly to him. He soon calmed down and then "woke up". He was still "asleep" through the rantings. All brought on by the high temperature - I believe it's called Febrile Convulsions. A little scary, but easy to control once you know how.
