My DD had this a few days ago. Calpol didn't do much at all, so gave her nurofen as well and it sorted it out. Good luck.

TortoiseRidesaReindeer · 22/12/2008 21:12

She is quite warm and now says her tummy hurts!
We have all just got over a headache/temp/cough bug as well.

my dd gets tummy ache with her ear ache I think it's because they have glands in their tummy?

Anyone you can send out to buy some nurofen.....could be a long night.

Sitting up usually less painful than laying down. propped up on the sofa with the TV on?

Sorry I'm nowhere near somerset so can't help.

DD2 (prone to ear ache) walked in this morning "my tummy hurts & I feel sick", me fighting the panick of the d&v that is going around, manages to establish the body part hurting the most is actually her ear. She looks ghastly though tbh.

I really hope your dd starts to improve.

If you warm up some olive oil and put a few drops in her ear, that should ease the earache.

TortoiseRidesaReindeer · 22/12/2008 21:23

Thanks Hope your DD2 is ok too.

As long as she is well enough to go to the inlaws on Christmas Day........I haven't catered for having the day here!

TortoiseRidesaReindeer · 22/12/2008 21:30

how is your dd today?

TortoiseRidesaReindeer · 23/12/2008 17:38

She seems fine. The ear suddenly stopped hurting so much at around 10pm and was fine all night. She does say it hurts if i ask her though! Thanks for asking. Made sure i bought some nurofen today just in case!

How is your DD?

The same, sore tummy & ears but she's okay in herself tbh! As long as it turn into flu or the D&V I can live with her being unwell.

TortoiseRidesaReindeer · 23/12/2008 17:44

Aww hope she is back to herself soon.
