hi,

we are in swizerland visiting the inlaw, my husband before leaving london already had signs of cold, cough, head head, sore throat, we believe is a nast flu.

The little man seems to have catch it full on.

IS THERE ANY FLU LIKE THIS GOING ON IN LONDON?

The local doctor is did not give much more then nasal drops to open the nose. The cough seems serious, we will go tomorrow to see a proper pediatrician, but in the mean time can any one help with info on how to treat the cough and if this is could be a flu or something else going on in london?

Many thx

Depending on the cough, but you can take them into a steam filled bathroom and that can help open the airways

ohmamma - poor old you and you Ds. It's awful when they are ill and to be away from home too must make it even worse.

I'm not in London but is there is a nasty cold/flu about that evryone seems to have at the mo.

Try putting a tub of warm water on the radiator in his room to help humidify the space.
There's always calpol too.
Good luch, let us know how you get on.

My 7 month has a nasty cough/cold/temp at the moment, there are so many things going round. WE have been treating him with nurofen/ medised (yes I can follow instuctions without overdosing...re medised thread) making sure he is getting lots of fluids, propping up his cot etc. There really isn't much you can do, you have to let their little bodies fight it. Sometimes you want to cuddle them better but when mine feels like that he often settles down by being left in his cot. Hope he gets better soon.

Is he handling it better than your DH??
