Vomiting bug, My 3yr old DD2 has been sleeping for almost 3 days!

My poor little girl came down with the vomiting bug early on Thursday morning and spent most of her time in bed, just waking a bit to drink but would be sick.
Yesterday seemed a bit brighter but kept being sick even with tiny bits of water and sucking on a sponge.
Today, she wanted some food and has eaten some raisins, a bit of banana and some cherios but has slept most of the day again.
She is keeping everything down, but is quite weak and finds it hard to stand up for long.
If your DC had this, how long does it take them to recover?

Sleeping is how they recover tbh. If she's keeping stuff down today I think she will be about 50% on Sunday and near normal for Monday. You should have her back and bouncing for Christmas Eve! Just take the food thing very, very slow and don't stress about getting nutrients into her. She just needs to eat a little of anything she fancys and keep up with the fluids.

i would love to know too when to expect a recovery, mine has had it for 2 days, was quite bright and cheery just this afternoon, but has now fallen back asleep on sofa, fever back.

she's eaten a mouthful of spaghetti... poor thing had a birthday party today as well and didn't eat anything!

yesterday she hardly ate and day before nothing. worried about fluid intake as her urine is very dark. throws up milk, water, food...

hope she recovers soon! and your litte girl too ripeberry!

My little girl is MUCH better today. She kept waking up every hour from 2am just to ask for marmite sandwiches!
She ate slowly this morning and has been playing and seems to be getting brighter every minute.
But she still likes to have a lie down every now and again.
Hope everyones DC get well soon and get this bug out of the way before Xmas!
