DS is due to go in for his adenoidectomy and bilateral grommet insertion on 20th of January.

They have told me it will be cancelled if any family member has an infectious disease within one month prior to surgery.

Should I cancel christmas I mean how am I meant to stop him or us picking up a bug. do they mean a cold or a chicken pox type thing.

Anyone knowledge of this would be welcome

Thanks I am rather nervous for him as he is a small 2.9.
I used to work in a hospital pre dc and cannot believe how anxious I am.

oh- hope all goes well for you all. My dbs both had their adenoids (and tonsils) done very young- both were 3 IIRC.
They were put on the adult ward , not the childrens' and were treated like royalty!

I would think they mean more like cp or measles rather than a cold- you can't help catching those.
