Please - someone settle a disagreement between DH & I on spots!

Our 6 year old DS has a spot on his chin. I am of the opinion it should be squeezed - little bit of pain, all done & gone, end of. DH is outraged and cannot believe I would do such a thing - 6 year olds (7 in a few weeks) do not get spots that need squeezing, apparantly. Please, opinions - there is a lot riding on it lol

I wouldn't squeeze my ds's spots! I'm with dh.

wrinklytum · 12/12/2008 20:51

Oh I would squeeze it but only cos I am the sort of person who is a spot squeezer, and loves de-waxing ears, and getting rid of verucas.Yuk but satisfying(.Doesn't mean Im neccessarily right though.)

Step away from the spot!

shitehawk · 12/12/2008 21:02

No, no, no - don't squeeze it. You are likely to cause it to become infected (think of the crap 6 year olds cover their faces in ...).

Don't squeeze - if I squeeze I get scars.

peanutbutterkid · 12/12/2008 21:07

Squeezing them spreads the bacteria, too (so ultimately causes more spots) -- or so I've been told!
