MMR Booster just before Christmas...?

We've had no reminder and I forgot . But Christmas is fast approaching and DS starts school in January. I'm loathed to let him have it now if he's likely to be ill.
So quick straw poll, but did your child react badly to the booster? Did any of you do it after they'd started school? Am I a terrible mother if I wait a few months?

Ds's appointment didn't come through until he'd been at school for ages.

He hated having the jabs 3 in all, but had no reaction whatsoever.

(I would strongly reccomend taking chocolate, sweets or similar bribe with you to the doctors, we had tears all the way to the shop, which melted away instantly at a packet of smarties).

Good that he had no reaction, but is it just one jab, or two? Please say just one..

No, ds did have 3, both arms and a leg, it was only a few weeks ago.

what was the extra one he had as there is not a third one on the schedule? (and dd just had 2 when she got hers just before school this year). Had he missed a previous injection?

DD had her preschool dpt and polio at 4 but has only just had her mmr booster age 11. All the autism/mmr thing hit the media before dd was due her mmr booster and I decided that as only 10% of children didn't acquire immunity from the 1st jab I would risk that she would be immune. Then the recent measles epidemics publicity was around so decided to get her booster done.
