Hi there,
My grandson started with a temp and sore throat on Thurs morning, then had a very limp odd turn followed by 6 attacks of screaming stomach pain. Was admitted for obs as they thought it could be appendicitis. Was discharged as decided it wasn't. Friday his temp was high all day but seemed a little better yesterday. Last night temp was back up sometimes to 40 degrees and he has been to doctor today who has put him on stronger abs but is talking about admitting him if no improvement. He also has a chest infection now. I don't' know what to think, he has had tonsillitis maybe 4/5 times in his life, once before quite badly but nothing like this. He's 5 btw.
Please can anyone give me any advice I am really in a panic over all this.

dd had tonsillitis twice this year and screamed all day too. She's 4. I asked and aksed about appendicitis as its my big worry. She was admitted to hospital both times (she's medically fragile) and put on ab's although sometimes it can be viral.
Hope he feels better soon.
Does he have vile breath? Thats usually a sign of infected tonsils.

thank you both for responding, I appreciate it. I am just so shocked at the idea of admitting him for the tonsillitis. I don't know about his breath today, nmc, as haven't seen him since yesterday. My daughter and son in law don't need me fussing round them on top of everything else! they know I'd be there in 5 mins if I'm needed.
I'm an oldie on here but do find it a big help with my grandchildren.
Thanks again
