What do you mean by struggling?

Is she wheezing?Any blue tinge around lips?

If ypu are worried ring NHS direct.DD had bronchiolitis at this age and it was quite nasty.Does she have a temperature?

Doctors.
DS has a terrible cold, he can hardly cry, is coughing, runny nose, feelign really pants.
I took him to the docs just to settle my own worry (he is 7.5 months) now I know it's a virus have been double dosing with ibruprofen and paracetamol, have a towel rolled up under his mattress to slant him, have a bowl of hot water above the radiator to moisten the air.

Sorry wrinkly, got called away by DD half way through posting, meant to say strugglying to stay asleep. (just had to go up again) She's sounds really snotty and is getting very upset, HAd an awful night last night, and she's not really slept enough today either. HAve some olbas oil and just found some vapur rub stuff.

She's got the worst nappy rash I've seen on her and had some blood in there today too. She's also teething. Will try the towel, although this may distract her, she loves climbing

Karvol plug-ins are, ime, far better than Olbas oil, radiator vapours etc.

LolaLadybird · 05/12/2008 21:59

Another vote here for Karvol plug-ins - do a really good job of helpding DC's breathe easily, all through the night whereas oil/rubs etc don't last as long.

Also, you could put books under cot legs to raise head of cot rather than towel under matress - may be better idea if DD is the adventurous type!

Thanks tinkjon and lolaladybird will try them tomorrow x
