Warning about those button-sized batteries

The mother in this case is a member of another board I occasionally frequent when I'm not Mumsnetting.

I know this post can come across as another doom-and-gloom, here's-something-else-to-be-paranoid-about message, but I know I'd not thought about the risk from these when letting DD play with gadgety stuff.

Hazel appears to be out of danger now, by the way (you can see some recent photos in the latest blog entries).

That's a terrible story - the family must have been through a lot

Little public-spirited bump...

That's awful - I had no idea that this could happen. I'm glad that little Hazel is recovering.

How scary for them. Fingers crossed that Hazel continues to improve.

WHat a nightmare- can't believe the child didn't have an xray sooner. My dd was admitted to hospital as a 9month old with wheezes and it was the first thing they did. Such unbelievable negligence.

Fingers crossed she recovers poor little thing.

Shocked to hear how quickly these little batteries start to leak.

suwoodolf · 05/12/2008 10:29

Gosh that has made me cry, how bloody awful.

God that is absolutely awful, poor little thing.
