for tonight I'd try to get her to lie with a hot water bottle on the painful bit

alirobins · 02/12/2008 20:06

What could I do to help her settle to sleep? Ive given her a hot water bottle and some more nurofen.

Alirobins - if she's still up, a hot bath might help (had kidney infection while ago and warmth helped it)

She will need to do urine sample at gps so might be worth either taking one with you or making sure she needs to wee at gp! HTH

alirobins · 02/12/2008 20:25

She a bit calmer in a warm bath.
Gp first thing that will be fun trying to get an appointment.

did she get any sleep?
good news about the doctor's appointment

alirobins · 03/12/2008 11:00

Doctor says its muscle spasm's from a bruised rib she's got calpol and nurofen and because she's not fell or anything he wants to see her in a week.
She woke on and off through the night.

didnt the gp do a wee sample just to rule it out???

alirobins · 03/12/2008 12:53

No because she hasn't got any pain when weeing or no high temperature.
