Shit shit shit. I think I've given my DS2 a coldsore! I've had a couple over the last few weeks (emotional stress etc) but DS2 came out with a little spot in the corner of his mouth yesterday. I think it's a cold sore .

He's had shingles already in the summer and chicken pox when he was just three months old, poor guy I really hoped he wouldn't be affected by the bloody coldsores as well.

I'm gutted! I got my fisrt coldsore from a relative when I was about two and I wanted to avoid passing this on to him. Shit shit shit!!

Gutted for you aswell. So far have been lucky with not passing mine on to the DC's. Tend to wrap up like the mummy and avoid all contact, short of the bell I tend to feel like a leper.

riojaLover75 cold sores are truly awful and i passed one on to my son when he was 9 months old and he got blisters in his mouth high temp and was in hospital since then he has had only one on his lip (he's now 6). GET A VIRULITE! These are little hand held things that zap the virus with some wavelength of light(so none of that horrible noticable cream look) and not only do the cold sores either not appear or reduce in severity but over time use of the light stops as frequent recurrence. I bought mine (about £80 i think but so worth it))a few years ago after a really bad one and since then have hardly had any and only tiny ones. I think you can know get them on prescription. Anyway i have used this n my son too and my husband uses it. takes away all the worry!
