We live in an old terraced cottage, next door smoke and occassionally the smell somehow seeps into parts of our house. It's really worrying me as i have a two year old and a 5 month old. I don't know why but in the last few days i can smell smoke in my dd's room. Does anyone know if the odour of smoke is harmful??

yes, passive smoking is harmful.

the level of risk to your children from next door smoking would be extremely low though

I really wouldn't worry about it (from a health pov). Besides, what can you do? Move? Go over there and demand they stop smoking?

But to stop the smell seeping, could you check for any gaps, or repaper or reseal or anything?
