My son is nearly 11 months and has no teeth at all - my last son had the lot by 6 minths? Should I be worried? Thanks

DD was 9 months
At almost 18 months she still only has 9 teeth

I only got my 1st tooth at 15 months! My mother took me to the dentist to have my mouth x-rayed she was so worried! (BTW - I do have a full set of teeth now!) I spoke to my dentist the other day as i wondered if as I got my teeth so late, what were the chances of my DD getting them late - pretty high apparently. But nothing to worry about.

ds1 got his first one at 10.5 months.
i used to babysit a little girl who still had none at a year, can't remember when she finally got them though.

oh good so he is normalish - do you think though that this is slowing his weaning? at nearly a year he is not interested in much other then stage 1 food and the odd bit of bread, biscuit etc i.e. nothing chewy which we have put down to his having no teeth.

...DD was nearly 2 before the first arrived.
She is 6 and still is 2 teeth short, the dentist has accepted she has hereditary late teeth.
