Earache questions

DD has had a mild earache for a few days - it only hurts when she presses it or drinks from her toddler cup which requires some suction.

Been to see Dr today who churned out a prescription for anti-bs.

I don't want to give her the medicine if it might well get better naturally.

So, if you can answer the following questions I'd be very grateful:

  1. Can earaches just get better of their own accord?

  2. What can I give her that might help to ease it (she's had calpol / nurofen) - I'm thinking something along the more natural route.

TIA

yes, they can and do get better. I certainly wouldn't be giving AB's for something that sounds that mild tbh.

not sure about natural remedies, but hopefully someone will come along who can answer that for you!
