48hr+ to start to see an effect

I think I woudl wait tomorrow as I assume that she is on 3 doses perd day and thereofre has only just taken the frst 48hrs worth?

I would have expected to see some change after 2 or 3 days . That is just my experience though and not a qualified opinion .
Hope she feels better soon

Well we went and she is still testing positive for urine infection

On top of this she has tonsillitus sp? and an ear infection

GP prescribed some different antibs, cefuroxime and after going to 4 different pharmacies we are still empty handed because none of them stock them

so back to the docs tomorrow, thanks for replies all

She will still test positive for a UTI for afew days yet....hopefully the additional ABs (if you can get them) will solve all her problems

Poor bunny. The different ABs definitely needed - when I've had those the effect has kicked in within hours of the first dose. By three days I was totally over it & just riding out the course.

For my very worst UTI, I was given a bladder anaesthetic pill as well - made your wee violent orange but really really helped while the ABs were getting going. This was in the US though, not sure if they have them here.

get her to drink loads, it means that the urine will be more dilute, and not sting so much when she wees.

Water or milk, not juice, it can acidify the urine.

Also, peeing in a warm bath is much more comfortable, could she try that?
