Hi my DD 2y10m seems to have double jointed thumbs, but her left one clicks and twice she has come running crying because her thunb has got stuck? It goes stiff and stays in that position until I wiggle it!? Any ideas is this normal? Thanks x

sounds like it might be soft or over stretchy ligaments.. i.e they and the muscles aren't supporting the joint totally.. I'd pop her to the gp.. wouldn't rush tho..

lots of people have this and toddlers are very bendy anyway.. muscles should strengthen.. but I'd see someone just to make sure

Look out for other signs of over-bendy joints: aching ankles, flat feet, instability when walking, unusual gross motor delays.
