DD has a massive bruise

I noticed tonight at bathtime that DD2 (2.11 years) has got a large bruise on her side just above her left hip bone. It's about the size of a clementine, which considering she's tiny for her age looks huge.

Now, as far as I know she's not hurt herself in that area at all in the past few days and she doesn't know how it got there. However she is VERY rough and tumble. She did fall down a couple of stairs the other day - I didn't witness the fall but got there as just after she landed and she was face down on her tummy rather than on her side.

I can feel a lump under it and have gone and got myself in a bit of a paddy that it's something like leukemia.

Tell me I'm being mad and should I take her to the GP to get it checked out. She isn't too distressed by it but says it hurts when it is pressed (naturally).

My ds is 2.5 and if I found a bruise that large I would get it checked by the GP, definitely. It's probably nothing - maybe a bump from the stairs as she came down.
