Hi, Dd is 5mo has been ff since birth and isnt being weaned yet.

She usually poos once a day in the morning and it looks like mustard - Colour and consitency.

The last few days she has pooed 2 or 3 times a day. One of these will be bright yellow and very runny. She isnt off her food and is herself.

Is this just something that happens as they get older? Could she have a bug? Thanks.

teeth?

chloemegjess · 13/11/2008 20:18

I wouldn't worry about it. My DD has various changes of nappy contents. Maybe just keep an eye on her but of this is the only thing then don't worry at all. Might have the start of a cold or something or starting to teeth. Or it might be nothing.

Yes there is a possibility it could be a bug but untill/unless there are more signs then you don't need to do anything.

And well done for not weaning yet

She could be coming down with a cold or teething as thisisyesterday says.

Keep an eye on her for dehydration and offer her a little water between feeds to make sure.

She has been teething on and off for a month now so maybe the tooth will actually be coming through now. Thanks.

And chloe - It has been tough to hold off this long. All of my older relatives look at me oddly when I tell them she still only has milk One month to go until the fun begins

Yes I had the same and I eventually gave in to my family unfortunatly, but then really regretted it. But I am pregnant again and won't wean the next one till 6 months.

Hope your DD is ok, let us know if she has any other symptoms but I am sure she will be fine

Thanks Chloe - I came very close to caving. I even washed and sterilised the bowls and spoons for her and then changed my mind. So glad I did.

Yes and just think, at 6 months you won't even need to sterilise the bowls etc and you skip the whole pain in the arse stage!

If my DD hadn't been such an awful sleeper and constant breastfeeder I might have managed longer. Not that weaning helped either of them but when everybody is telling you it will then it gets so tempting!
