When my ds was about 8 weeks old i asked the doctor to take a look at a small lump on the side of his head. She very quickly and confidently said it was a gland and that was that.

Well he's now 20 weeks and it's still there and appears to be slightly bigger. When he had his last jabslast week i asked the nurse practioner who did them what he thought it was.. He said it was a cyst, he also didn't seem worried, said they mostly burst and go on their own accord, but did say if it didn't go and got bigger he may need it surgically removed.

What do i do it's worrying me now if it is a cyst or if he's wrong in his diagnosis too. Thinking should i go and see a third person for a 3rd opinion? What makes it worse is that my mum recently had a tumour removed from one side of her neck (it was on a main artery to the brain) and a cyst from the other.

I don't know whether i should be making a fuss for them to look at it more or if it will just go in time.. Help has anyones baby had the same? I don't know what to do.

I would go to the GP again and get another opinion, and ask what should be done about it
