DD keeps waking in night - is it teething?!

Hi All!

DD is 9 months & for the past 3 nights has been waking up at 4am - ish. Wierdly, night before last she was inconsolable one minute & then all smiles, crawling about in her cot and giggling the next - at least I knew she was ok although I won't deny I was pretty peeved! I wondered if it was hunger, but doesn't seem to be as she's eating really well all day at nursery & has had a full supper with milk in the early evening. I gave her teething gel and calpol last night but it took forever for us to soothe her to sleep after! I'm, once again, blind with tiredness at my desk at work & wondered if anyone had any ideas about why this could be?!

How is she during the day? Grouchy? Is she learning a new skill -ie the crawling? I have heard many times that they wake upmore often when learning something new (am dreading this stage).

Babies do tend to sleep badly when processing/ learning a new skill.
On the other hand, it could just as easily be teething. Have you tried Teetha Granules instead of Bonjela? They seem to work better because they stick to the gums- I think they also have camomile in them, so may help with sleeping.
