DD has been to hospital quite frequently for asthma type breathing problems. She goes downhill rapidly and her O2 levels crash quickly.

Any ideas?

I am a paediatric nurse and I know paediatricians aren't keen on home nebulisers,as they reason if a child is that bad they need to be in hospital.
You can give more puffs of Salbutamol through a spacer device to deliver the same amount of drug,10 puffs is equal to a nebuliser. However this obv doesn't contain oxygen as a nebuliser given in hospital does.
I would try more puffs of salbutamol as you notice her getting wheezy, you can give frequently and see if that helps.
Otherwise,hospital I am afraid!
Hope that helps.
