Can teething cause constipation?

I know it can cause loose stools as DD has had some at the beginning of the week. But for the last few days she hasn't been at all. She does seem to be in any pain and her tummy is not hard. Could it just be a side effect of the teething? Thanks

I've just given her a few prunes in the hopes that will get it all moving. Just don't want her to end up in pain although there's no signs of it as yet.
