He has been coughing since sunday, he has a slightly blocked nose, and you can hear that his throat is a little sore.

He is well in himself, and he has had no temperature.

I have put books under the legs of the bed to raise his "head level". And he is propped up by a pillow, so sleeping as upright as he can.

He is coughing every minute. It sounds like he is going to throw up from coughing, like he is wrenching his guts out.

I have given him brown preventer inhaler the last few days, and also his blue inhaler. He is not asthmatic (as far as we know) but has been given inhalers for laryngomalacia. I gave him a nasal spray before going to sleep.

His chest is clear. He is breathing nice and easy.

Is there anythign I can give him for his cough?

Rub Vicks vapour rub on the soles of his feet over night. I read it on here a couple of years back and it really does work.

Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks for the tip, but strong scents makes im cough....

I disappeared from thread last night because his cough got so bad he needed to be held upright. I propped him up to sitting, and he as able to fall asleep.

I took him to GP this morning, and he was given a morphine based cough mixture to take before bedtime. Fingers crossed tonight will be better.
