Teething and eruption cysts

My DD is currently getting her first bottom molars in. Oh the left side I can see the cusps coming through, but on the right side there apears to be what looks like a white ulcer. After she ate a breadstick today, there was a small amount of bleeding from it. I have shown it to a pharmacist and also mentioned it to the doctor when we saw him about a temp/rash she had last week (temp only lasted 24 hours). Neither seemed very worried and thought it was normal (though doc didnt look at the cyst itself, just the gums overall as she wouldnt open her mouth for him!) After a bit of googling, I think this is what is known as an eruption cyst? Though it seems that they are normally purplish, not white/yellowish. But not sure what else it is, if not that? Has anyone any experience of this? Thanks!

Hi there- just googling the same problem and came across your message. My brother is a dentist and says not to worry unless DD shows any signs of fever and distress.Given that he's toddling around laughing like a mad thing I think he's fine, but like you just want some reassurance to my irrational night-fears. I have vague memories of eruption cysts when my adult teeth came through. If I find anything else out I'll come back to you, but hopefully Calgel will soothe our DDs till the molar finally comes through.

I've just been searching mn archives as I notice a huge bulge on ds' gum and I wondered if anyone had any advice. From what's been said so far it sounds like it may be an eruption cyst. He doesn't seem worried by it and isn't off food or complaining(well not anymore than usual!) He's only 20mths and still has a fair few teeth left to come through, and the cyst is in a place with no teeth currently.

I just wondered if anyone has any thoughts and experiences of them?

sorry I forgot to add, I should take him to see a doc/dentist shouldn't I? Is it urgent enough to go to the out of hours one now or should I wait? Obv if it is I will go but it is bedtime now and as I said I have literally notice the bulge within the last hour and we've been trying to get ds to show it to us. I also thought at first it may be a bit of his dinner just stuck IYSWIM!! But it hasn't gone and we've since felt it and it hasn't moved
