firstly i will say my baby has been seen by my gp and has been refered to a pedeatrician to see on the 3rd nov.
I noticed a couple of months ago that her right hand was sometimes very red, like lobster red but never futher than her elbow, it also feels hot to touch when it is like that. Her left hand is not affected. This now happens frequently, several times a day, but without any noticeable pattern. It is noticed by friends etc who comment and ask me whats wrong with her hand. Her feet are usually cold to the touch even when she feels quite warm. When carring her on my hip her feet tend to stay a bluish purple and she gets orange marks on her lower legs. I am worried now because after seeing my health visitor yesterday she rang me this morning to say she has made an appointment for my baby to be seen this week by the gp again, even though she will be going to see the specialist next week ? Should i be worried or am i being too sensitive.

Hi, I was wondering what the outcome of this was? I mentioned the same about my four month old son to my GP the other day whilst getting his chest checked with an awful cough he has, and she is now reffering him to a pedeatrician. He has had a very hot left hand,on and off, since he was born. If its not really hot then both his hands are icey cold even if the house is warm. I wasn't too worried as my GP seemed relaxed about it and even seemed excited at the thought of something new other than the hundreds of coughs and colds that she sees! I hope everything went okay with your daughter at her appointment?
